Working closely with each patient's primary veterinary practice, Shona offers a comprehensive, multi modal approach to pain and wound management. This includes:
- Time for in depth clinical pain assessment.
- Acupuncture.
- Nutrition assessment and advice.
- Individual exercise assessment and advice regarding how, where, duration, how often and specific exercises.
- Option for physiotherapy referral and collaboration.
- Home assessment and advice in relation to factors such as steps and stairs, flooring, bedding and feeding.
Any recommendations regarding medication or additional diagnostic or treatment options will be referred back to the primary veterinary practice.
